Nakuru based Pastor David Mwangi on Sunday marked his birthday in a unique way with the needy street families.
Mwangi who is also the Chairman Nakuru Toursim Association attended a service at his Church where he serves, before proceeding to join the street families.
At the Church, the clergy reiterated the need for the society to care for the needy in society stating that a true church is that which takes care of the vulnerable among them widows and orphans.
“We all have a role to ensure the needy is society also have a reason to smile. A better society is where we all gather without discrimination and praise God,” he stated.
The service that was filled with joyous moment of worship and praises, also saw a special birthday cake cut in honor of Pastor Mwangi.
The soft spoken Pastor Mwangi together with his family would later join the street children within Nakuru CBD where they served meals and refreshments together.
Speaking during the event, Mwangi noted that he chose to celebrate his 2025 birthday in a special way by reaching out to the needy among them street families through Realz Hand of Love.
Dubbed Ibaada Mtaani, Pastor Mwangi shared the Word of God with the street children and all those who showed up for the event held near Gilanis Supermarket.
He later prayed for the children in love before sharing meals with them, as well some donations.
“I chose to celebrate my birthday in a special way by holding this Ibaada Mtaani. We are focused as a Ministry to reach out to everyone in society,” he stated.
He added that he looks forward to reach out to more vulnerable and share the love of God with them especially during this time that society is going through numerous challenges among them drugs and substance abuse.
According to him, some challenges need a collective responsibility in addressing.
