Njoro Constituents have been urged to continue embracing peace through coexistence.
The call was made during a Sunday service held at Full Gospel Churches of Kenya Mutukanio ‘A’ at Mwisho wa Lami in Mau Narok Ward.
A service that was graced by Cabinet Secretary Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes Geoffrey Ruku hosted by area MP Charity Kathambi.
The leaders who spoke during the service lauded the role of the church in shaping society through morals.
They called on religious leaders to continue praying for the nation for stability.
The CS noted that without stability, no development can be realized.
“The scars we bear as individuals, as the church, and as a nation should be a constant reminder of the successes we have achieved no matter the challenges that scarred our body, our minds and emotions,” he stated.
The CS noted that the nation continues to heal many wounds inflicted internally and externally, but Kenyans must not allow more and more scarring by individuals who have turned hopeless and dissolate because of their hate of a united and progressive country.
He noted that the government is expanding the Njoro – Mau Narok 53.8 KM Road which is ongoing to reduce traffic congestion.
The CS added that the government is also expediting water and rural electrification projects in Njoro Constituency to provide clean drinking water and catalyze economic development in the region.
Sentiments echoed by MP Kathambi who lauded the constituents for the support they have given her office.
She also used the moment to highlight some of the development projects that have been enabled by government and those that are in Pipeline.
During the service, Reverend David Maina shared an overwhelming sermon on overcoming temptation.
The event was also attended by Njoro DCC and Njoro sub-County security team.
