
Kivumbini Ward MCA Neto Sakwa has affirmed commitment towards ensuring young people from Kivumbini Ward are equiped with the skills in short courses that will see them become independent.
This was revealed on Friday January 24, 2025, as a total 36 youths from Kivumbini Ward graduated with certificates in various short courses at Vera Technical Training College Nakuru after vigorous theory and practicals training of 8 Months.
Some of the courses include Fashion and Design, Beauty Therapy, hairdressing, Tailoring among others.
The graduated lot from Kivumbini Ward was enrolled at Vera Technical Training College in March 2024.
MCA Sakwa was represented by Personal Assistant Charles Okumu during the graduation ceremony held at Nakuru Athletics Club grounds.
According to Sakwa, the short courses for the youth from Kivumbini were fully sponsored by Ward Allocation.
He added that another lot of 24 youths from Kivumbini are going on with their training in technical skills at Nakuru County Vocational Training Centre(Previously known as Manyundo). The lot will complete their courses by August this year 2025.
It should be noted that another total of 49 youth from Kivumbini Ward have also benefited through driving courses in various driving schools.
A total of 20 completed their driving course at Flamingo Driving School, 19 at Sydney Driving School and 10 at Psalms Driving School.
MCA Sakwa has also revealed that early February this year, another lot of 43 youth from Kivumbini will be enrolling for short courses at Vera Technical Training College for 8 Months.
