Names of ECDE shortlisted teachers to be out soon, Governor Kihika announces

Names of ECDE shortlisted teachers will be out next week, Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has announced.

Speaking in Rongai Sub-county on Wednesday when she officially opened a new classroom at Umoja ECDE, fully equipped with age-appropriate furniture, Kihika stated that the County is committed to ensuring better environment for ECDE learners.

“Next week, we will be publishing the names of shortlisted ECDE teachers as part of our commitment to improving early childhood education.We are doing all these to ensure a conducive learning environment for our young learners,” she stated.

At the same, the Governor noted that the Uji Program has contributed greatly to an increase of  1,500 ECDE learners in Rongai Sub-county.

The County Boss also used the opportunity to highlight several key projects that her Administration is undertaking in Rongai Sub-county.

They include the ongoing upgrade of Kandutura Health Centre, the distribution of sunflower seeds to empower farmers, the provision of subsidized Artificial Insemination (AI) services to boost livestock farming, and the grading of roads to improve accessibility.

She added that the county government has officially handed over the Salgaa Level 4 Hospital to the contractor, marking a significant step in enhancing healthcare services in the region.

There is also the construction of two modern markets, one in Rongai center and the other in Kiboronjo to support the economic growth and well-being of residents.
