Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama has urged constituents to avoid tribalism and shun leaders who are tribalists.
Arama who spoke on Friday during the issuance of Uwezo Fund Cheques to 31 groups from Nakuru West, was categorical that tribalism is enemy number one to Development.
The Lawmaker told off individuals and opponents who have been propagating politics of tribalism.
According to him, such politics and propaganda have no room in the current dispensation of politics.
The third term serving Lawmaker added that Nakuru Town West is a cosmopolitan Constituency hence need to have a unifying aspect which he has continued to advocate for since he was elected in 2013.
“Tribalism has no room. We need to work towards unity and development,” he stated.
Arama at the same defended his development record, adding that the scorecard is what has seen him re-elected for three consecutive terms.
The Lawmaker who has been keen in defending the rights of constituents, pointed out that leaders should have one key agenda of serving the electorates.
He also reiterated the need for leaders to work together both at national and county level.
According to Arama, good working relationship among leaders will see development realized in various sectors.
“We need to work together as leaders towards development of the people,” he stated.
