Nakuru Town West MP aspirant Robinas Makana has stepped up campaigns against the incumbent Samuel Arama.
Makana who is contesting the seat on DCP party ticket associated with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, now says Arama has failed the people of Nakuru Town West.
According to Makana, Arama has been hiding behind bursary which is a right for any needy student in Nakuru Town West Constituency.
Speaking over the weekend during a fundraiser in aid of a family in need, Makana rallied Nakuru Town West residents to back his ambition of becoming the next Nakuru Town West MP.
The Nakuru Town West Parliamentary aspirant intensified his political standoff with incumbent MP Samuel Arama ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Makana accused Arama of fostering political intolerance, interfering with Democratic Change Party (DCP) affairs, and seemingly condoning or threatening repeat acts of hooliganism.
He pointed out that many youth in Nakuru Town West have reformed from criminal activities but lack a hand to spearhead them to the next level.
The Nakuru Town West politician vowed to ensure such is addressed once he is elected MP.
He publicly challenged MP Arama’s handling and distribution of constituency bursary funds, stating that bursary should not be used as a campaign tool.
Makana has positioned himself as a change-driven alternative for Nakuru Town West, targeting infrastructure in Kapkures and Barut wards, digital bursaries, market modernizations, and youth empowerment.
