Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja Keroche will contest the Nakuru Gubernatorial seat on Democracy for the Citizens Party(DCP).
The Senator made the announcement on Friday October 9, 2026 after defecting from United Democratic Party(UDA) that she was elected on in 2022.
“Look at me. Can’t you see even the ring is green? Even those watching can see everything is green. Isn’t that true? Even the clothes, isn’t that true? Therefore, we are going to fight for that seat with DCP,” she stated during a presser in Naivasha.
Senator Keroche emphasized that her decision was reached after she directly listened to electorate grievances on the ground.
In her speech, the Senator highlighted various economic challenges facing Kenyans citing the recent rising milk prices as an example of the difficulties Kenyans are experiencing.
Senator Tabitha Karanja Keroche ventured into politics in 2022 clinching the Nakuru Senatorial seat on UDA ticket.
She is the founder and longtime CEO of Keroche Breweries.
