Nakuru Lawmakers have called for peaceful coexistence within the cosmopolitan County.
The Legislators David Gikaria(Nakuru Town East), Samuel Arama(Nakuru Town West), Irene Njoki(Bahati) and Martha Wangari(Gilgil) noted that Nakuru has had history of violence in the past and no one would like to go back.
Gikaria who is the chair Nakuru MPs’ caucus called for the need to embrace peace and cultivate it.
He pointed out that the scars of violence in Nakuru due to post election violence are still fresh from 1992, to 2007 and no single individual will be willing to go back to the old days.
“As the chair Nakuru MPs’ caucus we want to appeal for peaceful coexistence in this county and country for we know what peace and violence means,” said Gikaria.

MP Arama also called for political tolerance across.
He added that if someone has committed incitement crimes then should be summoned to record statements with security agencies.
