The county government of Nakuru on Wednesday July 24, 2024 flagged off a shipment of vital drugs worth Sh23.5 million to hospitals across the County.
This is the second tranche for the Fourth Quarter and part of a strategic initiative to ensure a continuous supply of medicines to enhance healthcare services.
The event was officiated by Deputy Governor David Kones who was accompanied by Nakuru County CECM for health Roselyn Mungai.
The duo Reiterated the County Government’s agenda of ensuring quality services.
Seventy-five percent of the drugs will be delivered directly to facilities, with the remaining 25 percent retained as county buffer stock to shield health facilities from supply chain disruptions, ensuring uninterrupted patient care.
In total, Sh49 million worth of drugs have been distributed to hospitals in June and July, underscoring Governor Kihika’s commitment to improving healthcare access and the well-being of all residents.
