After receiving the invitation to assist three needy schools in Baringo County, Nakuru-based Street Children Assistance Network Nakuru(SCANN) obliged and moved to Baringo some 120 Km from Nakuru.
Once again SCANN was called up to assist Schools in Baringo County, 120 km North of here .
An Arid area where some of poorest communities in Kenya live.
Following visit 3 weeks ago and detailed Assessments, SCANN resolved to assist all the three Schools that we visited.
The schools are Lorecho ECD School, Nasinya ECD, and Lomayana Primary.
SCANN team accompanied by Rotarians and Rotaractors from Nakuru delivered Assistance to the Three Schools on Saturday, June 15th.
According to SCANN Chairman Shamsher Gilani, donation included all the building materials for Classrooms, two Toilets and a Kitchen, School furniture, food Hampers, School Bags -filled with Education materials etc.
Total value of this Donation was Ksh 1.4 m or U.S. $ 11,000.
He reiterated that SCANN continues with its various other Programs; the SCANN Street Children’s Centre, Food Kitchens, providing School Uniforms and educational materials to Needy Children, Medical and other assistance to Needy members of Society from all walks of life.
“Our Sincere Appreciation to our Donors for their Generosity towards our various Programs,” he stated.
