Collaboration between the Civil Society Organizations and the County Government is key towards transformation and sustainable development.
This was clarion call during this year’s Nakuru County Civil Society Organizations Forum Governor’s Roundtable meeting held on Thursday July 30, 2027.
During the meeting, the County Government of Nakuru and the Nakuru County Civil Society Organizations Forum (NACCSOF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to institutionalize structured engagement aimed at improving governance, accountability and public service delivery.
Deputy Governor David Kones who graced the event lauded the partnership terming it a key platform that provides a formal framework for continuous dialogue between the county government and civil society.
The DG noted that both the CSOs and Government serve the people of Nakuru.
He commended civil society organizations for their contribution to development across the county and called for regular engagement to identify governance challenges, exchange ideas and develop practical solutions to enhance service delivery.
He rooted for sustained consultations to help build consensus on key development priorities, strengthen accountability and accelerate the realization of the objectives of devolution.
The forum also provided a platform for NACCSOF to present observations and recommendations on governance and service delivery, with participants committing to deepen collaboration in the health, water, education and other sectors.
