Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has called for strong family units.
She said this is the only way to ensure a better society.
She was speaking on Sunday when she joined congregants at El-Gibor Altar in Mwaki Mugi.
She said the family is the foundation of society and should be supported by all.
The Lawmaker called on religious leaders to also play part in shaping society’s morals.
“We all have responsibility in ensuring strong family units for they are foundation of society,” she said.
The service also served as First Anniversary celebration for the Altar.
It also featured the beautiful union of the MP’s friends Anthony Njenga and Gladys wairimu.
During the service, Bishop David Githii delivered an inspiring sermon, recounting the story of Simon of Cyrene, who carried Jesus’s cross. His tale stands as a profound emblem of selflessness and sacrifice.
A service that was also attended by Leah Ng’ang’a, MCA Kabatini Ward.
