MP Njoki lauds the appointment of Major General Fatima Ahmed as first female Commander of Kenya Air Force

Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has lauded President William Ruto for appointing Major General Fatima Haiti Ahmed as the first female Commander of the Kenya Air Force.

The Lawmaker in a statement to Newsrooms, congratulated Major General Fatima terming the promotion as a historic.

She noted that the move will serve as an inspiration to many.

The Legislator wished Major General Fatima all the best as she takes over her new role.

“Congratulations Major General Fatima Gaiti Ahmed on your historic promotion as the Commander of the Kenya Air Force! Your achievement as the first woman to lead any service of the armed forces is truly inspiring and paves the way for countless others. Wishing you all the best as you take on this important role!,” stated MP Njoki.

Major General Fatima is among several other personnel in the Military whom President William Ruto promoted in the reshuffle announced on Thursday May 2, 2024.
