Kuresoi North MP Alfred Mutai has told off Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over sentiments purporting of a possibility of post election violence in 2027.
Mutai who addressed Constituents on Monday during the launch of bursary cheques, pointed out that Gachagua’s sentiments should be condemned with strongest terms possible as they mean no good for this country.
According to the Lawmaker, the country has no room for tribal politics aimed at dividing Kenyans.
“We want to tell off those leaders going to Nairobi and speaking about things that will lead to division in this country. Let them guard their tongue,” he said.
While urging the as residents to remain in government, Mutai noted that as Kuresoi North residents, they believe in civilized politics without division.
“We want to tell off those leaders going to Nairobi and speaking about things that will lead to division in this country that Kenya has no room for such,” he stated.
He added that Kuresoi North and Nakuru as a whole has had a past history on violence and no one would want a repeat.
“In Kuresoi North, we have had our past history and we made up our mind to ensure co-existence among communities, and never to go back.
“We appeal for peaceful and mature politics. We are even encouraging inter-marriages as a way of fostering cohesiveness. A peaceful coexistence will foster development,” he stated.
The Lawmaker told off his competitors calling on them to put on heavy shock observers as the terrain towards 2027 will not be easy for them, owing to his development agenda and record.
He revealed that his agenda for constituents is well spelt out for the the remaining part of his first term and the second term before he can decide whether to venture into gubernatorial race or be appointed to National as Cabinet Secretary.
The MP defended the government deductions on the civil servants payslips on matters SHA, Affordable Housing, adding that it’s a move that Bottom up economy system wants to ensure that even the least in society are empowered.
He called on residents to persevere adding that the economy might not be satisfactory at the moment but it is just a matter of time before everything comes to normal under Kenya Kwanza Government.
