Njoro Member of Parliament Charity Kathambi has lauded Journalists in Nakuru and urged them remain courageous even as they go about their duties.
Speaking to Famousnakuru.co.ke via phone interview even as the World Marked Press Freedom Day, Kathambi noted that Journalists are key in shaping society.
She noted the good working relationship with Journalists urging them to continue adhering to the code of ethics as far as their profession is concerned.
Kathambi who is also a peace ambassador, called on Journalists to ensure sensitive reporting whenever there is a conflict to avert escalating conflicts.
She vowed to continue working closely with Press towards a better society.
“We know the work Journalists do in our society and that is why we join them in celebrating World Press Freedom. I urge them to continue upholding standards of their profession,” she said.
