Njoro Member of Parliament Charity Kathambi has reiterated her commitment towards empowerment of women at grassroot level.
Through Kathambi Chepkwony Foundation, the Lawmaker says she will do all that pertains in ensuring women have platforms for empowerment.
This, she says will ensure they become self reliant.
She added that women are vital agents of development and essential foundation for a stable, fair, inclusive and prosperous society.
“The Kathambi Chepkwony Foundation (KCF) commits to fully and meaningfully engage them in their transformation and empower themselves,” she said.
She was speaking in Njokerio, Egerton, Njoro ward, when she led the empowerment of more than 1,000 Women, widows and PWDs.
Earlier on, the Lawmaker interacted with residents and women of Umbrella Women Group, Block 3 , Lare ward, Njoro constituency.
She assured them that Kathambi Chepkwony Foundation will support women’s empowerment by dismantling barriers that limit women’s participation in the economy and ensuring they have an equal voice in decision-making processes.
“The need to provide platforms for women to empower themselves cannot be over emphasized,” she stated.
According to Kathambi, by supporting women entrepreneurs, we create a positive ripple effect that benefits families, communities, and economies, paving the way for a more equitable and prosperous future.
