MP Kathambi lauds NGAAF’s role in empowering vulnerable

Njoro Member of Parliament Charity Kathambi has lauded the National Government Affirmative Action Fund(NGAAF) in the role played towards empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Speaking on Wednesday July 31, 2024, she reiterated the importance of the funds on groups of women, youth and persons with special needs.

The Lawmaker was speaking when she hosted Nakuru county Woman Representative Liz Chelule during the disbursement of NGAAF cheques to various Youth, women and Pwds groups in constituency, an event held at AIC Njoro town.

Kathambi called for the need for leaders to work together in shaping lives of many in society.

According to her, interests of the people should come first for all leaders.

“By working together, and putting greater importance on peoples’ interests, we stand to move our constituency forward, hence cushion the vulnerable from adversities,” she stated.

The Fund seeks to expand access to finances and promote women, youth and persons living with disability led enterprises at the constituency level.

She called on beneficiary groups to make good use of the funds towards their economic empowerment.

“I wish the groups who benefited all the best as they invest the proceeds,” stated.

The second time serving MP in Parliament assured the people of Njoro that she remains committed towards their empowerment.

Nakuru Woman Rep Liza Chelule on her part called on Constituents of Njoro and residents of Nakuru County to ensure cohesiveness.

According to Chelule, a united county and country is the master key to economic growth and development as a whole.
