As a way of supporting students during this holiday season, Nakuru Woman Rep Liza Chelule on Thursday December 19, 2024 issued NGAAF bursary cheques to learners.
Chelule revealed that each checque average ten thousand shillings.
“I’m pleased to announce that we have distributed bursary cheques, each averaging ten thousand shillings to all students,” she stated.
This will go a long way in supporting needy and vulnerable students in Nakuru West, Nakuru East, Gilgil, Njoro, Rongai, and Bahati Sub-Counties.
This initiative, backed by the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), is a step towards ensuring that financial challenges do not hinder youth’s educational journey.
On Friday and Monday, the team will distribute the cheques to the remaining five sub-counties.
Chelule reiterated her commitment towards making sure every eligible student receives support before Christmas.
“Education is a vital investment in our community’s future, and I’m committed to making it accessible to all,” she stated.
