Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama now says he will defend his seat come 2027.

This, the MP said is due to public demand with constituents ueging him him not to go for a higher seat.

MP Arama who is serving his third term had earlier indicated that he was weighing whether to contest Nyamira gubernatorial seat in 2027.

However in his recent engagement with the constituents, the MP has made it clear that he will be defending his seat

In a recent meeting where he hosted Muslim community at his residence in London Ward, Arama was categorical that he will defend his parliamentary seat.

This, he said was due to public demand as constituents made an appeal to him not to go to Nyamira but rather defend his seat.

“Due to public demand, I will be defending my parliamentary seat in Nakuru West,” the MaP stated.

MP Arama is among a few MPs who have served three consecutive years.

If he succeeds in 2027, then he will be serving his fourth term.

He prides in having initiated development agenda in Nakuru West since 2013 when Nakuru West Constituency was birthed from the larger Nakuru Town Constituency.

Arama has continued to ensure fair bursary disbursement.

He even goes further to assist vulnerable learners in Nakuru West through his own foundation.
