Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama has come out clear that he is in the race to defend his seat come 2027.
Arama was responding to a viral video by his opponents who claimed that the MP had stepped down.
In the video that is circulating on social media, the opponents drove a narrative that the MP had opted out of the race.
However, MP Arama has refuted the claims, terming it a false narrative by opponents.
Famousnakuru.co.ke has established that the video going round on social media is an old interview that MP Arama did with Manoti TV way back when the MP was still weighing whether to contest Nyamira gubernatorial seat.
But later on after making his calculations he decided not to go to Nyamira but to defend his Parliamentary seat.
Arama who prides in his development record for the three terms he has served as MP Nakuru Town West, maintains that 2027 elections will be about service delivery.
According to him, electorates will decide based on the work that he has done in Nakuru Town West from education, security, and infrastructure development.
The Lawmaker has challenged opponents to come out clear with what they have for the people rather than spearheading politics of propaganda that has no value to electorates.
He urged constituents to shun such leaders and support his development agenda moving forward.
It should be noted that Arama has served for three consecutive terms as MP Nakuru Town West.
The Constituency was birthed in 2012 during the boundaries review that saw the larger Nakuru Town Constituency split into Nakuru Town East and Nakuru Town West.
