Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama has called on all political leaders to remain focused on people-centred development agenda.
While aiming at those aspiring for various positions come 2027, the Lawmaker stated that service to the people is what counts.
He warned aspirants against malicious politics against their opponents, terming such outdated way of politics.
The Lawmaker who was speaking at Mazembe grounds in Nakuru West Subcounty during this year’s Madaraka Day celebrations, was categorical that those holding elective positions should be respected.
According to Arama, come 2027, the development scorecard for every leader is what will count.
He at the same reminded leaders that once elections are over, the leaders should unite and work with government of the day, adding that come 2027, the electorates will make decision on ballot.
While drumming support for Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika, Arama slammed a section of MCAs led by Naivasha East’s Stanley Karanja Wamariamu for claiming development has not been realized.
He urged leaders to have their county at heart stating that it is easier to reach local leaders for assistance before engaging in national politics.
