January 26, 2024 morning and the sad news of the demise of Dickens Wesonga spread like bush fire.
The scribe who until his death was based in Kisumu and working for The Star Newspaper under Radio Africa Group, passed on in a tragic road accident.
The body of the deceased is lying at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary.
Already, a statement has been issued by Radio Africa Group undersigned by Head of Content Paul Ilado.
“It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we mourn the untimely passing of our colleague, Dickens Wesonga who was based in kisumu,” reads part of the statement.
The statement goes further, “We received the devastating news of his tragic demise in a road accident early Friday, and we are still coming to terms with the loss of such a dedicated and young talented journalist.”
