Keep off Nakuru Town West affairs, Arama tells Kuresoi North MP Alfred Mutai

Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama has slammed his Kuresoi North counterpart Alfred Mutai for meddling into affairs of Nakuru Town West Constituency.

Arama who spoke on Tuesday May 6, 2025 during public participation forum on Constitutional Amendment Bill No 4 of 2025 on NG-CDF, avered that the Kuresoi North MP had made tribal statements that Nakuru Town West Constituency should have an MP from Kalenjin community.

The tough talking Arama said such reckless sentiments have no room at the current political dispensation.

According to Arama, such statements can plunge the cosmopolitan Constituency into unnecessary rage.

Arama told the MP to keep off the affairs of Nakuru Town West, adding that the Constituency has no room for tribal politics.

“I want to tell Mutai to keep off Nakuru Town West. We have no room for tribal politics that he is trying to being about. Let him try to defend his seat for second time before inciting communities here on tribal lanes,” he stated.

According to Arama, Mutai is said to have made the remarks in Kalenjin dialect but through translation he was able to understand the clip that went viral.

MP Arama said he took the initiative and shared the clip in Bunge Whatsapp Forum where Nakuru Town East MP is the chair and demanded that MP Mutai be charged to take responsibility over his sentiments.

The Nakuru Town West Lawmaker maintained that Nakuru Town West is a cosmopolitan Constituency and cannot tolerate politics of tribalism to take any portion in the Constituency.
