How MP Arama has mastered the art of good rapport with constituents

Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama has maintained good rapport with constituents through various initiatives.

This, he says is the only way to understand what is ailing constituents, and have action taken to address the same.

The Lawmaker who is serving his third consecutive term, is a great believer in constituents and the sovereign power of the people as enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Elected for the first time in 2013 on ODM ticket, ye would later join TNA in 2017 and eventually Jubilee Party that he used to successfully defend his seat in 2022 polls.

In these three terms as MP, Arama has perfected the art of putting constituents first.

He is among the few MPs who have an open door policy at his residential in London Ward.

According to the MP, he has always instructed his security team never to block any constituents who want to seek his assistance whether at home or at the NG-CDF office.

He has on many occasions hosted various groups of his constituents at his London residence in Nakuru West.

This is always evident with the photos that go viral in WhatsApp groups immediately after such meetings.

In earlier interviews, Arama revealed that the work of any elected leaders is to solve the challenges facing constituents.

It is for such reasons that the Legislator has adopted the regular consultative meetings with constituents.

Some of these meetings he attends personally, while in some cases he sends his PA Mr. Koech who is also loved in equal measure.

Arama says such consultative meetings help understand which challenges should be addressed in terms of priority.

“The only way to understand what is ailing constituents is through such regular meetings,” he states.

The Lawmaker who believes in development agenda, says the record for development is what has continued to win him favour before God and the constituents.

Though elected on Jubilee under Azimio Coalition, the Lawmaker just like in previous general polls declares that he will work closely with National Government under the leadership of President William Ruto of Kenyan Kwanza that is now broad based government.

The MP has continued to lobby for key development projects for the constituents staring that a time for politics shall come towards 2027.

He has also been close ally of Nakuru’s first family i.e Governor Susan Kihika and first gentleman Sam Mburu.

In several meetings, the Lawmaker has always poured praises for the duo such that at one particular time there were rumours of him becoming runningmate of Kihika in 2027.

Arama who had declared interest in Nyamira gubernatorial seat in 2027, recently shifted gears and announced that he will be defending his parliamentary seat Nakuru West for the fourth time.

This, he said was due to public demand with constituents staring that they needed him to complete the good work he started.

Already the MP has received several backup from various groups among them religious and youth groups.
