First Lady Mama Rachael Ruto on Thursday March 13 2025 launched the rollout of the pilot phase of the National School Milk Programme, at Testai Primary School in Nakuru County.
This program will ensure that millions of children across Kenya access milk as a source of nutrition and an incentive for learning.
The pilot phase of the School Milk Programme, targets Primary school learners as part of the Feed One End Hunger Initiative.
Under the program, learners will enjoy a full year’s milk supply twice weekly.
The First Lady has appealed to members of parliament to allocate sufficient funds for school meals, including a national school milk program.
The program besides being key to the learners’ future, will also ensure farmers’ prosperity, and economy’s growth.
