Dr. Rani Ramchandani highlights tremendous strides achieved by her Foundation as PBOs’ week is launched in Nakuru

Dr. Rani Ramchandani HSC on Tuesday April 14, 2026 highlighted several achievements by her Rani Ramchandani Foundation as the Public Benefit Organizations(PBO) week was launched in Nakuru.

The event held at Nyayo gardens within Nakuru CBD, saw PBOs and CBOs turn up in large numbers to reflect on the strides made in society.

Team Rani Ramchandani Foundation was not left behind as they pitched their tent exhibiting various achievements.

Speaking to famousnakuru.co.ke, Dr  Rani Ramchandani who is the Founder, stated that it is the first time to attend such an event by the Public Benefits Organization Authority.

She was however quick to point out that since the establishement of Rani Ramchandani Foundation, alot has been achieved to date.

Some of the key achievements according to Dr. Rani is that her foundation has been able to distribute more than 18,000 plus wheelchairs and mobility devices, donated 700 plus hearing aids and provided 25,000 food hampers.

In addition, the Rani Ramchandani Foundation has also distributed 45,000 sanitary pads,  17,000 masks and sanitizer, donated 37,000 books.

Besides, the Foundation has also supported 45 plus Children’s homes and elderly facilities.

On empowerment component, the Foundation has empowered 50 plus PWD-owned businesses, educated 37 girls and rescued 22 street children who are currently in schools.

Another milestone for the Foundation is the launch of smart stick for the visually impaired.

Dr. Rani added that her Foundation has been able to make key interventions in matters food and medical support, mobility devices for the PWDs, Blood drives and sanitary, Hygiene and Education programs as well as school feeding programs for the ECDE learners.

According to her, the Foundation has also contributed on matters environment conservation, Peace building activities, Youth Counseling  and economic empowerment for widows, young mothers and PWDs.

Nakuru East Deputy County Commissioner Wycliffe Opiyo who visited the Rani Ramchandani Foundation Tent during the event lauded RRF for the good work in society.

The Foundation is operating in several counties among them Nakuru, Nairobi, Vihiga, Kakamega, Baringo, anf Bomet Counties.

RRF international outreach include countries such as Rwanda, Uganda, India
Germany, UK etc.

Under the slogan ‘Let us colour the World with smiles, together let us make our community a better place’, the Foundation that was founded seven years ago during COVID-19 pandemic,  is looking forward for partnerships especially with Financial Institutions, in what Dr. Rani says will enable more vulnerable groups to be reached with the wheelchairs and mobility devices.

“We are looking forward to more partnerships and that’s why we are inviting the Financial Institutions to reach out to us. In doing so, we shall reach more people who are in need,” she stated.

During the PBOs’ Week Launch in Nakuru, team Rani Ramchandani also had a full library of books on sale.

She revealed that the money from the sales would be used towards the charity work towards PWDs.
