Defense CS Soipan Tuya says Peace, Love, Unity key pillars towards national development

Kenyans across the 47 counties have been urged to embrace peace, love and unity as key pillars towards realization of national development.

Defense Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya says there are numerous national development projects that can be achieved if there is a peaceful nation where everyone is proud of the nation.

She spoke on Sunday when she joined congregants of Covenant Church International in Shabab Ward, Nakuru County for a heartfelt prayer and thanksgiving service.

“We all need to embrace peace, love, and unity as the cornerstone for national development,” she stated.

The CS encouraged young people in the nation to work hard, seize opportunities for a brighter future, and actively support the leaders entrusted with guiding the nation.

Sentiments echoed by Deputy Governor of Kajiado County, Martin Moshisho Martine, who inspired the youth by reminding them of their critical role as future leaders.

He urged them to respect authority and embrace responsibility as they prepare to take up leadership positions in the future.

Nakuru County Governor Susan Kihika,was represented by Stephen Kuria, the County Executive Committee Member for Trade.

The CECM conveyed the Governor’s greetings and reassured the congregation of Governor Kihika’s commitment to fulfilling her manifesto promises.

Kuria highlighted recent achievements, such as the successful distribution of bursaries, which aim to uplift the lives of county residents and ensure a brighter future for all.

The event was also graced by Ambassador to UNEP Gertrude Angote, Principal Secretary for Tourism John Ololtuaa, Nakuru Woman Representative Liza Chelule, and Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria.
