Democracy for the Citizens Party Nakuru County Secretary General Simon Ole Nasieku has slammed Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen over threats to have former DP Rigathi Gachagua arrested upon arrival in the country from USA.
Addressing press in Nakuru, Nasieku who was accompanied by several DCP aspirants for various seats in Nakuru was categorical that the DCP Leaders Gachagua should be respected.
He stated that Gachagua has not committed any crime to guarantee his arrest upon arrival on August 21, 2025.
According to Nasieku, the DCP Leader has been vocal on various issues affecting Kenyans, and that needs to be addressed.
The Nakuru DCP SG at the same time called on government to stop intimidating Gachagua and his political allies.
“We have heard that there is plan to have our party leader arrested when he lands. We want to tell government that is a wrong decision and as supporters of Gachagua we will not allow that,” stated Nasieku.
While pointing out that all is set for the grand welcome of the Party Leader, Nasieku called on DCP supporters in Nakuru to show up in large numbers at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi to welcome Gachagua.
He revealed that as officials and supporters they will travel to Nairobi on Wednesday so that they be on time for the great day.
“I want to urge all DCP supporters and aspirants in Nakuru County to show up in large numbers for the grand welcome of our Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday,” he stated.
It should be noted that DCP Leader Rigathi Gachagua cut short his visit in USA, in what he termed is to come back and concentrate on the by-elections scheduled to take place in various places come November.
