Co-operatives Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui has lauded Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata for the role he has played in implementation of Bottom Up Economic Transmission Agenda.
Chelugui was specific that Governor Kang’ata has been key especially in the dairy value chain.
“I must laud Governor Kang’ata for the big role in the implementation of the Bottom Up Economic Transmission Agenda (BETA) and specifically the Dairy Value Chain, our agenda in Murang’a today,” he stated.
The CS was speaking in Murang’a County on Friday March 29, 2024 during the relaunch of Maragua MCC Factory and the official launch of Inua Mkulima Subsidy Programme.
He termed the event as a breath of fresh air for more than 45, 000 dairy farmers who make their daily deliveries to this factory.
According to Chelugui, Dairy is one of the value chains that the Kenya Kwanza administration is putting a lot of emphasis on to spur economic growth at the grassroots.
