Businessman Maina Wakabura has vowed to sponsor a number of vulnerable learners in Nakuru East Sub county.
Speaking on Thursday March 28,when together with his friends organized Nakuru Bondeni Street Iftar for Muslim community, Wakabura noted that some learners were yet to join Form one due to lack of basic needs and other requirements.
“We take it upon ourselves to ensure that the learners who are yet to report to schools do so,” he stated.
The street iftar held at Musalaba in Bondeni, brought together Muslim community from Bondeni, Flamingo and Kivumbini estates
“Finally happened … The Islam community from Bondeni ,Flamingo and Kivumbini came together in large numbers and we were very humbled to share with them the evening. Beyond sharing I felt touched that some students hadn’t yet reported to form one and we took it upon us to ensure the students will report to school soon through our support,” he stated.
According to Wakabura, Education is the greatest equaliser and the future of Bondeni lies in the hands of these children.
Wakabura who has ambition of contesting Nakuru East Parliamentary seat in 2027, lauded WAKABURA AND FRIENDS fraternity for always showing up and supporting community activities.
