County Government opens 13 satellite stores to ease distribution of subsidized fertilizer

Farmers have a reason to smile following a move by County Government to open 13 satellite stores to ease the distribution of the subsidized fertilizer.

Already the county has received over 232,680 bags serving over 26,494 farmers across the county.

This was revealed by Agriculture Chief Officer Newton Mwaura.

He was speaking while receiving 740 bags of the fertilizer at Mutungati Store in Bahati Sub-county where he said that the initiative is aimed at supporting farmers during this planting season.

He added that the administration under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika will continue to ensure that the fertilizer is delivered to farmers through satellite stores in different Sub-Counties to boost agricultural production.

Additionally, the initiative aims to ease the financial burden on farmers by reducing transportation and logistical costs associated with acquiring essential agricultural inputs.
