Community of Saint Egidio Nakuru in partnership with other well-wishers on December 25, 2024 hosted a Christmas lunch for Street families in Nakuru.
The event held at Christ the King Cathedral Hall, saw partners and volunteers prepare lunch for the street families.
Francis Waithaka from Community of Saint Egidio Nakuru pointed out that this is a yearly event with ain to put smile in the faces of the kids who at times are neglected by society.
He added that it is also a way of sharing the love of Jesus Christ during the festive season.
“Together with partners we have been able to serve over 400 street families and elderly. Jesus is the reason for the season and that’s why we are sharing the meals with these vulnerable as a way of sharing love of Christ,” stated Waithaka.
Waithaka also appealed to the members of society to feel free in joining Community of Saint Egidio in spreading love to the less fortunate in society.
The event was also attended by Team Rani Ramchandani Foundation, Nakuru East Senior Deputy County Commissioner Simiyu Werre and other partners.
