Former Barut MCA in Nakuru West Sub county Joseph Bett is dead.
He was commonly known among Nakuru residents as Manywele.
According to sources, the former MCA passed on early Friday January 3, 2025.
Kaptembwa MCA Peter Kajwang has eulogized the deceased as a celebrated leader in Nakuru West.
According to Kajwang, the deceased also served as a councillor before the devolved system.
“I am privileged to have interacted and worked with him as a valuable colleague in Nakuru County Assembly from 2017 to 2022,” stated Kajwang.
Kajwang prayed that God will grant his family, friends and Barut people at large comfort and peace during these devastating times.
Past President Rotary Club of Nakuru Joab Okello also took to social media handle eulogizing the deceased.
Joab wrote, “Sad to learn of the passing on of the former Barut MCA Joseph Bet and Barut assistant chief Janet both passed on this morning.Such a huge loss for Barut community.May their souls rest in Eternal Peace.”
The death of the former MCA has been received with shock among residents of Nakuru West and Nakuru County as a whole.
