Bahati MP gets a go ahead for construction of Githioro Police station office block

Plans to set up a Police station Office Block at Githioro in Dundori Ward of Bahati Constituency will go on as planned.

This follows an assurance by Dundori Assistant County Commissioner Wilson Metito that the land on which the facility is to sit is a public land meant for public utilities.

The ACC told off a section of individuals whom he said have been claiming that the land has disputes.

He refuted the claims and affirmed that there was no dispute over the parcel of land, and that the office of Bahati NG-CDF under MP Irene Njoki’s patronage should proceed to construct the said station office block.

The ACC who spoke at Githioro on Monday March 25, 2024 during issuance of NG-CDF bursary cheques, said as administrators they are ready to offer maximum security to the contractor anytime the work commences.

“There are a few individuals who have been going round with propaganda that this land has disputes. I want to make it clear here that this is a public land and we are ready to see that individual who shall come to stop Government project of setting up a Police station office block,” stated that ACC.

The ACC pointed out that the project will go a long way in ensuring that the officers have descent offices.

Currently, the Officer Commanding the Station(OCS) is operating in one of Clerk’s office at the Githioro ACC’s office.

Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki on her part revealed that already allocation has been done.

She was quick to commend the ACC for putting things straight, adding that the construction work will commence soon.

“I am very happy that the ACC has cleared the air concerning the parcel of land. I therefore assure you that if there is no dispute then we shall proceed to have the station office block constructed,” she said.
