Three Nakuru MCAs have called in the church to remain steadfast in prayers amidst societal challenges.
The MCAs Wilson Mwangi Wajeff(Menengai East), Anthony Kanyere Geru (Nakuru East) and Neto Sakwa (Kivumbini) noted that divine intervention is key in shaping society.
Led by Menengai East Ward MCA Wilson Mwangi Wajeff , they urged the church to remain steadfast in prayers amidst numerous societal challenges.
Speaking at Kunste Grounds on Tuesday during the funeral service for cucu Monica Githae, the MCA noted that the church continues to play key role in shaping the society.
According to him, the numerous challenges of facing the society can also be addressed to through divine intervention.
Wajeff who has declared interest in the Nakuru parliamentary seat 2027, urged religious leaders in Nakuru and Kenya as a whole to continue praying for the nation.
“We need to feel the divine intervention from grassroot to the top leadership. I just urge the church to continue praying for the county and country,” he stated.
The late cucu Monica Githae was a staunch christian with Full Gospel Churches of Kenya Manyani, Kivumbini Ward.
Every speaker at the funeral termed the late a woman of virtue who always maintained good relationship with the people.
MCAs Neto Sakwa(Kivumbini) and Anthony Kanyere Geru(Nakuru East) who were in attendance called for unity.
While pointing out the virtues such as generosity, commitment and kindness, the duo called on society to emulate the same.
According to the MCAs, with such virtues the society will be a better place where everyone is loved and respected.
The funeral service was led by Full Gospel Churches of Kenya and sermon delivered by Bishop Kenda.
Cucu Monica Githae was laid to rest at Nakuru Cemetery.
