UDA’s Leonard Wamuthende has won the Mbeere North MP by-election.
Wamuthende won with 15,730 votes against Newton Karish who garnered (15,192).
Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki led campaigns in the region for Wamuthende.
Wamuthende’s win political pundits argue is a win for Kindiki against his political rivals DCP Leaders Rigathi Gachagua and former Attorney General Justin Muturi.
