Quickmart Supermarket on Friday July 3, 2026 officially opened two new branches in Nakuru, pushing the retailer’s countrywide footprint to 70 locations.
The two new stores are situated at Kenyatta Avenue and Section 58.
This coming barely days after the Supermarket opened another store at Statehouse Avenue Nakuru.
With the new branches, the Supermarket now boasts of four branches in Nakuru(Statehouse Avenue branch, Kenyatta Avenue branch, Section 58 branch and Shabab Branch)
The additions bring convenience right to the local vicinity in Nakuru area.

Speaking during the official opening, Quickmart CEO Peter Kagiri stated that Nakuru has great potential for businesses.
According to him, the new branches in Nakuru will address the client demand within the City even as the retain Chain marks 20 years of operation in the country.
The branches will operate 24- hours making Quickmart the first retail chain to operate 24/7 in Nakuru.
“The opening of these branches in Nakuru means creation of jobs too. We look forward to create more jobs that will also help grow the economy. Nakuru is home for our founding family started here,” he stated.
While noting that 24 hours is the way to go in terms of growing the economy, the Quickmart CEO called on all retailers to adopt the same.
Sentiments echoed by Quickmart Supermarket Chief Marketing officer Betty Wamaitha.
She pointed out that the 69th and 70th stores in Nakuru is a plus as far as economy growth is concerned.
“We have seen the opportunity in Nakuru City and this is where Quickmart Supermarket started journey in 2006,” she said.
As Quickmart marks 20 years of operation, the retail chain also boasts of having created 8,000 jobs.
