PS Korir vows to protect Kongo community land from land grabbers

The Principal Secretary Ministry of Lands Mr. Nixon Korir has assured the Muslim Community at Kongo in Kwale county that their land shall be protected from grabbers.

This follows an attempt by some individuals to grab the community land.

The move saw former Prime Minister Raila Odinga hold meeting with the community.

Odinga later met PS Korir and had discussion over the matter.

“I recently held discussions with the Muslim community at Kongo, Kwale County, over the attempt to grab their community land. Following that, I met with the principal secretary at the Ministry of Lands, Mr. Nixon Korir regarding the same matter,” stated Odinga.

According to Odinga, his legal advisor Mr.Paul Mwangi,  is under instructions to work with PS Korir to protect this Islamic holy site and national monument and its adjacent lands that are held in trust for the Muslims of Kwale County.
