Kuresoi North MP Alfred Mutai has vowed to work closely with environmentalists in ensuring forest cover and protection of Mau Forest.
The youthful MP was speaking when he joined Principal Secretary Environment Eng. Festus Ngeno during a tree planting exercise at Marindas in Nyota Ward.
The event was also graced by locals of Taachasis Pendle.
MP Mutai noted that Kuresoi North is blessed to host the great Mau Forest, a water tower that gives life far beyond borders.
He reiterated the need to protect it not just a duty, but pride.
“I stand shoulder to shoulder with all environment conservation enthusiasts and with President William Ruto’s call to grow 15 billion trees,” he said.
According to the Legislator, this is not just about trees , it’s about securing water for daily use, peace for communities, and a future for children.
