Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has reiterated her commitment towards supporting young talents in her Constituency.
Njoki says this is in line with her manifesto on supporting sports and nurturing talents.
“As part of my manifesto, I pledged to support sports and nurture talents and I remain committed towards same,” she said.
It should be noted that earlier this year, Bahati Constituency played host to a local marathon in Rurii.
According to the Lawmaker, she is actively collaborating with more sports partners to recruit and showcase young talents from Bahati.
Currently, the Legislator is upgrading community sports facilities, with ongoing work at Mikeu Primary School grounds and major plans to transform Kiamaina Primary School grounds into a stadium this financial year.
She pointed out that despite the withdrawal of Government sports funding through the NG-CDF, her commitment to revitalizing sports infrastructure remains strong.
“I’m dedicated to continue supporting our athletes and talented youth,” she said.
