MP Arama urges Uwezo Fund beneficiaries to prudently use the funds

Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama has called on beneficiaries of Uwezo Fund in his Constituency to prudently use the funds for empowerment.

The MP who spoke during the issuance of Uwezo Fund Cheques to over 30 groups called on the groups to remain focused and use the funds prudently.

He lauded several groups that have continued to increase their borrowing record.

At the same, the MP stated that those that have reached the borrowing limit of Kshs 500,000 will be assisted towards empowerment programs.

While noting that this is a revolving fund, the Lawmaker called on beneficiaries to ensure that they repay on time so that the funds can help other groups too.

It should be noted that over 35 groups comprising youth, women, and special interest groups received their cheques during the issuance on Friday June 20, 2025.

This initiative is a key part of MP Arama’s broader commitment to socio-economic empowerment, aimed at supporting grassroots communities through funding for income-generating projects.

Start-up groups received between KSh 50,000 and KSh 500,000, depending on their needs and proposals.
