Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama has hinted at voting a NO to Finance Bill 2024.
Speaking during the installation of the 6th Bishop of Anglican Church of Kenya for the Nakuru Diocese, Arama made it clear that the people of Nakuru West have spoken.
In his speech at the event that was graced by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua among other leaders, the Lawmaker said he has carried out various public participation meetings and the people are not happy with the Bill.
Arama stood his ground that as elected leaders, he will go by the voice of the majority of his constituents.
“I have done public participation and majority of our people say they don’t want the Bill. I therefore will go by the will of the people,” he said.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria.
Gikaria who is a staunch Catholic told the congregants that he will visit Subukia Shrine for blessings before he can make decision on the Bill.
