Journalists accredited by the Media Council of Kenya in Kisii County now have a digital working space.
This follows the launch of the Kisii Media Hub.
The Hub will also serve as Digital Content Production Centre.
The facility was opened on February 13, 2024 as the World marked Radio Day.
Media Council of Kenya CEO David Omwoyo who commissioned the facility, urged journalists and media practitioners in the area to leverage digital space to meet the needs of a diverse and growing audience.
“You need to shift from political content and focus on the stories touching on ordinary citizens as told by them. This should be made more intentional”, said Mr David Omwoyo .
Omwoyo observed that the future of radio remains bright and urged media workers to utilise the space to monetise their content.
