It’s Kamala Harris, as Joe Biden drops out of Presidential race

July 22, 2024 Pristone Mambili 1 min read

US President Joe Biden will not defend his seat in America’s Presidential election scheduled for later this year.

In his statement, Biden stated that he has decided not to accept the Democrats nomination ticket.

According to him, he will be focusing on his duties as President for the remainder of his term.

“My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” he stated.

Biden at the same time hinted at supporting Kamala Harris.

It will be noted that Biden’s very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as his Vice President.

He added that this has been the best decision he made.

“Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year,” he said.

Biden urged Democrats to come together and beat Trump.
