Former Nakuru Councillor Joram Kariuki has urged Kenyans to back former Kenya Civil Servants Union Secretary General Dr Isaac Newton Kinity’s ambition of becoming President come 2027.

In an interview, the former Civic leader who also served as Chair Nakuru County Council termed Dr. Kinity a man of integrity.

He praised him for standing for truth even when he was serving as the Secretary General Kenya Civil Servants Union for 40 years.

According to Councilor Kariuki, Dr Kinity assisted many including those who were trapped in Saudi Arabia to come back to Kenya.

He added that Dr. Kinity has also assisted those who had no National Identification cards so that they can be able to participate in the next general elections and electoral processes.

While rallying Kenyans to back Dr Kinity as the next President Kenya should have, the former Councilor was categorical that Dr Kinity has for many years fought against land injustices in Kenya and corruption that has led to Kenyans suffering.

“He has been on record defending the voiceless in society including those whose land has been grabbed like the Ndabibi people in Naivasha and fighting for civil and human rights for all Kenyans. He is in a good position to hold top office in this country,” stated Councilor Kariuki.

The former Civic leader was categorical that mere slogans have messed Kenyans, recalling them days when the slogan ‘Moi must go’ took centre stage.

However, many years since Moi left, Kenyans continue to suffer with rampant corruption and integrity issues on the side of leaders.

He was however quick to point out that having listened to Dr. Kinity, he stands out a leader who meets the threshold of Chapter 6 on leadership and integrity.

The former Councilor argues that Kenya does not need recycling of leaders but electing those who are clean from any corruption and are ready to serve Kenyans and help solve the challenges facing Kenyans.
