Over 1,000 residents across 218public health facilities in Nakuru County are set to benefit from a Kshs 14million medical supply distribution aimed at improving healthcare delivery across Nakuru . This comes after the County flagged of drugs to all subcounties.
Speaking during the flag off,Deputy Governor David Kones announcedthe consignment valued at 14M represented the first batch of quarter three sourced from Kenya Medical Supplies Authority(KEMSA). Additionally,a second order worth Kshs 25 Million from the Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is currently in final stage following the completion of the procurement process.
He noted that this consignment is intended for all public health facilities in Nakuru County with exception of level 5 facility which operates independently.
The Deputy Governor encouraged residents the important use of these medicine responsibly and adhere strictly to professional prescription and dispensing protocols.He also appeal to citizens to use these medicine as a device to ensure their safety and effectiveness.
