Dandelion Africa NGO marked Blood Donor Day through community blood drives.
The Day was marked under the theme “Give blood, give hope: together we save lives,”
The NGO reiterated the need to honour the power of collective action in saving lives.
“At Dandelion Africa, we spent the week mobilizing communities through blood drives in partnership with the Departments of Health and Blood Banks in Baringo and Nakuru Counties,”
A total 227 pints of life-saving blood from Rongai Boys High School in Nakuru, as well as Emining Boys’ and Mogotio Girls’ High Schools in Baringo.
Dandelion Africa NGO staff led from the front—not just organizing and supporting logistics, but also rolling up their sleeves to donate.
According to Dandelion Africa NGO, every pint donated is a promise of hope, a chance at life for someone in need.
During the event, the NGO thanked all the students, teachers, staff, and partners who made this possible.
