
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba on Wednesday commissioned 12 newly constructed Junior School classrooms at the Kakamega Primary and Junior School in Kakamega County.

These classrooms are part of the Government’s nationwide initiative to construct 16,000 additional classrooms for the pioneer Grade 9 cohort in January, 2025.
The CS assured parents and education stakeholders that the government is working towards success of Junior Secondary.

In addition to classrooms, the CS revealed that Government is also undertaking a countrywide distribution of textbooks.
This, he said will help to achieve a ratio of one book per learner in the core learning areas.
