CS Chelugui lauds Church’s role in shaping society

Co-operatives Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui has lauded the role played by Church in shaping the society.

Chelugui points out that the church has continued to remain a great supporter of government initiatives in various sectors.

According to the CS, the church also continues to address key rots within the society towards better family and community which play key towards Government development.

He was speaking on Sunday February 25, 2024, he joined the parishioners of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mogotio, Baringo County under Catholic Diocese of Nakuru together with the Head of Public Service Hon. Felix Kosgei for Sunday Mass and later a fundraiser.

The fundraiser was towards the expansion of the church which also acts as the parish headquarters.

The Mass was also attended by area MP Reuben Kiborek, Rongai MP Paul Mamba Chebor, Mogotio Ward MCA Mark Kipkurui Sialo, Kisanana MCA Jacob Cheboiywo and Emining MCA Purity Tallam.

Others were former Mogotio MP Hon Daniel Tuitoek and former Nakuru County Deputy Governor Erick Korir among others.
