
Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama has urged constituents to support government of the day.
Speaking on Tuesday during public participation forum on Constitutional Amendment Bill No 4 of 2025 on NG-CDF, the Lawmaker was categorical that elections is a competition, but once elections are over all leaders should work for the good of the people.
While drumming support for the current Ruto regime and Governor Susan Kihika’s administration, the Legislator maintained that service to electorates should be the point of convergence.
He told off those slamming government adding that the constitution is very clear on the interrelationship between county government and the National government.
According to him, there is need for leaders to work together no matter their political affiliations.
“Once elections are over, we have to join hands as leaders, support government of the day and lobby for projects that add value to the people,” he stated.
Arama who has indicated that he will be defending his Parliamentary seat for the forth time, stated that Development agenda is what will drive the campaigns of 2027.
According to him, Kenyans will make decision come 2027 based on development agenda.
He urged leaders to ensure they fulfill the agenda for their electorates.
It should be noted that Arama was elected on Jubilee ticket in the 2022 polls, however he has maintained good working relationship with President Ruto and Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika who were elected on UDA Party ticket.
Arama says says his working with governments of the day is for the benefit of his constituents in Nakuru Town West.
